FAQs

Most people feel very little, often just a light tap or a warm, tingling sensation. Many patients feel deeply relaxed, even sleepy. The needles I use are extremely fine and gently placed to support your nervous system, not overstimulate it.

Does acupuncture hurt?

What conditions can acupuncture help with?

I specialise in stress-related symptoms including anxiety, overwhelm, overthinking, sleep issues, tension, low mood, hormonal imbalances, and digestive problems. Five Element acupuncture also supports emotional wellbeing and overall balance.

What if I don’t like needles or feel nervous?

Totally normal! I work slowly, explain everything, and check in with you throughout. You are always in control — if something doesn’t feel right, we adjust. Many needle nervous patients end up loving the sessions because they feel so relaxed.

What should I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothing is ideal. Don’t worry about if you’ve shaved your legs.

What will I feel after acupuncture?

Most people feel calmer, clearer, and lighter in their body. Some feel energised; others feel ready to rest. If your body is releasing tension, you may feel emotional for a short time, this is normal and part of the healing process.

Is acupuncture safe?

Yes. Acupuncture is a regulated, safe, and natural therapy when performed by a trained practitioner. I follow strict hygiene protocols, use single-use sterile needles, and tailor every treatment to your individual needs.

I am registered with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), which means I meet nationally recognised standards of safety, training, and professionalism.

Is there parking available?

Yes — there is free parking available right outside the clinic. There is also free on street parking, making your visit easy and stress free.
